Carl to miss start of season
Carl Winchester has dealt Latics a pre-season injury blow.The 20-year-old (pictured) will miss the start to the season with a medial knee ligament injury.
It is estimated Winchester, who recently signed a one year contract extension, will be out for between six and eight weeks.
James Dayton missed training yesterday with a minor knee injury.
It was more a precaution after Dayton hurt his knee when lifting a heavy object during the trip to the Army's Altcar Training Camp.
Manager Lee Johnson expects Dayton to be available for Monday's friendly at Curzon Ashton.
