Striker signs for Leeds UnitedLatics' out-of-contract striker Matt Smith has signed for Leeds United.
The 24-year-old (pictured), who rejected a new deal to stay at Boundary Park, has agreed a two-year contract with the npower Championship club.
Leeds manager Brian McDermott beat off fierce competition from other clubs to make Smith his first summer signing - he officially joins them on July 1st.
Smith was signed by Latics from non-league club Solihull Moors in the summer of 2011.
In two seasons with Latics, Smith made 21 starts and 54 substitute appearances scoring 14 goals.
It was Smith's goalscoring exploits in last season's FA Cup with Budweiser which catapulted him into the national spotlight.
Smith scored twice in the 3-2 victory against Liverpool and also in both fifth-round ties against Everton.
