Latics worry over striker
Matt Smith is to have a scan on his injured knee.The striker (pictured) limped out of Saturday's npower League One defeat at Tranmere Rovers.
Smith jarred his knee with the concern over swelling to the joint.
While Smith won't feature in tomorrow's home league game against Hartlepool United, James Wesolowski will be available.
The midfield man was substituted near the end after sustaining a deep cut to the top of his head which needed six stitches.
Defender Cliff Byrne is today having another injection to aid his recovery from a damaged ankle ligament.
