Latics score with networking event

Latics scored with a networking event for local businesses.

The O2 Business Suite today hosted a lunch for club sponsors.

Latics believe it is vital to allow the club's valued partners to be able to get to know each other and, hopefully, use each others services wherever possible.

There was an excellent turnout with 48 representatives from local businesses.

Latics' manager Lee Johnson, first-team coach Paul Murray along with players Adam Rooney, Anton Rodgers and Danny Philliskirk.

Chairman Simon Corney and Johnson also took part in a question-and-answer session.

Latics' Sales and Marketing Executive David Broadbent said: "We're delighted with the way the afternoon went. We had a superb turnout and a lot of introductions were made and business cards distributed.

"It's vital that as a club we try to facilitate as many of our partners working together as possible.

"This afternoon's event was the first in a series to run over the course of the season and many thanks to all those who attended, especially to O2 Business for supplying delegate bags, Fosters for providing the drinks and Sizzlers for the excellent food."
