Defender Kean Bryan described the support shown by the Oldham Athletic fans as ‘unbelievable’.
2,200 advanced tickets have already been sold for tomorrow’s game and with many more expected to pay on the day, the atmosphere is set to be electric.
Speaking ahead of the game, Bryan said: “I saw on Twitter that all the tickets were sold and that is unbelievable.
“At Blackburn, that was probably the best atmosphere I’ve played in and it was unbelievable.
“When you hear them on the pitch, you get that extra boost to give a little bit more.
“We just want to thank them and hopefully we can repay them for the support they are showing on Saturday.
“It’s derby day and we have to put on a performance for the fans this weekend.”
Bury sit bottom of Sky Bet League One but the defender knows tomorrow will be a tough game.
“It will be a very difficult game and they shouldn’t be where they are in the league,” he admitted.
“They have a very good squad and experienced players and that shows in their last couple of results.
“At the start of the season they had a bit of a nightmare and got in trouble but overall they are one of the better teams in the division.
“At the start of the season people would have said they would have pushed for promotion so I wouldn’t say it would be an easy game.
“Like I’ve always said, every game in this division is tough, everyone can beat anyone but we are going for the win.”
